A GROUP OF SIX MEDALS FROM THE CRIMEAN CAMPAIGN AND LATER,
a Crimea Medal 1854-56 with Sebastopol Clasp and original ribbon suspension brooch;
a Sardinian issue Turkish Crimea Medal 1855, original suspension ring replaced with British Crimea floreate suspension bar and wide ribbon (heavily faded);
a French Second Empire Légion d'honneur 5th Class 'Chevallier' with losses to the enamelling and ribbon in relic condition, a miniature in similar condition;
a rare Imperial Russia Pacification of Hungary and Transylvania Medal 1849 on original ribbon;
a Spanish Philippine Campaign Medal 1896-1898;
comes with much paperwork relating to the potential provenance of the medals

Provenance: Family tradition has it that these medals were the property of General Gordon of Khartoum. Whilst the evidence presented does not support this, it is possible that they are connected to the Gordon family
